Nestled in a peaceful and scenic location in the foothills of the French Pyrenees, this country auberge is not to be missed if you're anywhere near the area. the hotel has a lovely swimming pool and table tennis for the kids. Half-board guests are pre-allocated tables and served with good and wholesome food, including delicious steak, substantial soup, and a good pudding. Wine is reasonably priced, and staff are welcoming and friendly.
The thin walls in the rooms allow for noise to travel easily between rooms, which could be an issue for light sleepers.

Fabulous location, nestling by the river in a steep, picturesque valley. Very remote and quiet. Local walking and climbing difficult to beat. Comfortable and spacious room. Excellent value for money.
Sometimes surly staff. Bizarre system for allocating restaurant tables, apparently driven by need to avoid washing table-napkins. Breakfasts were fine, but dinner of mixed quality, and those eschewing dinner seemed to be punished by being served breakfast in a windowless anti- room. Hopeless for vegetarians (unless you can survive on a daily mushroom omelette).

Fantastic location. Amazing scenery. Photos on web do not do it justice particulary the one of the pool.
Service in the restaurant was very poor. Food was cold and greasy by the time it arrived. Very dissapointing.

We liked the location, right in the heart of Pyrenees.
The room and the hotel restaurant haven't not been refurbished for a while.

The pool area was a nice touch. After a long day of work, it was nice to cool off in the water without any disturbance. the surrounding nature was also beautiful, with lush trees and calming sounds of a nearby river. Lastly, the hotel was conveniently located near some great hiking spots and local attractions.
The room itself was quite old and outdated. the decor was uninviting, and the room lacked any extra amenities.

We absolutely loved the peaceful and remote location of this cozy little hotel. It was a perfect base for us to explore the Pyrenees and the nearby countryside. The food served at the restaurant was simply delicious and hearty, with plenty of options for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. We also appreciated the friendly and attentive service of the staff, who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
The rooms were a bit spartan and lacked some of the usual amenities we are used to, such as a kettle or a hairdryer. The language barrier also posed a bit of a challenge, as the staff spoke mostly French and Spanish.
